Academy launches Logo and Uniform.

Traditional with Business Style The Oldham Academy North, sponsored by E-ACT is set to take over the Grange School site as it prepares to open its doors in September.

The academy will admit its first students on 7th September 2010, wearing their smart new uniform. Students will collect their academy blazer, house tie and academy sleeveless sweater on 1st September. Students who have trialled the uniform said that it made them “feel much better and smarter!”

It’s not just the formal uniform that all students at The Oldham Academy North will receive absolutely free of charge. For PE and sport, there is a bespoke fleece jacket, PE tracksuit bottoms (for girls), PE shorts (for boys), PE top and socks.  Students have been measured up and the uniform is tailored fit to each individual student.

The Oldham Academy North logo takes its inspiration from local history, traditions and the academy motto. The combination of a traditional design with a modern twist reflects the ethos and values of the academy. The motto – Believe, Create, Innovate, Achieve clearly identifies the qualities students need to succeed both at the academy and in their future lives.

Colette Burgess, Principal of The Oldham Academy North comments, “As opening day approaches, everyone involved with the academy is extremely excited to see our plans come to fruition. Being part of the academy is something that all students and staff can be proud of and we look forward to welcoming everyone in September.”
