With an audience of 1,500 Monday’s 2011 British Curry Awards, organised by curryvangelist entrepreneur Enam Ali MBE was as spectacular and glamourous as ever. The event was compered by TV Chef James Martin with contributions from the PM beamed from No.10 and in person by Mayor of London Boris Johnson at the event, who was great entertainment as always.

Several observers pointed out to us that the Winner attributed to the North west was located in Doncaster, which is actually in Yorkshire and Humber Region, about 60 miles East across the Pennines and a whole county away. Which is roughly equivalent to confusing Watford in Herts with Basingstoke in Hampshire.
That aside, great event!
