Tigers International Association—TIA will be marking the end of the “Oral History of Bangladeshis’ in Greater Manchester” project with a dinner and charity fundraising for two of Manchester’s favourite charities.
The celebratory dinner on July 17th, will be held at the Millennium Centre, Featherstall Road, Oldham and is being supported by the largest Bangladeshi satellite TV channel which will broadcast to over 100 million people world-wide.
Those attending will share the experiences of those who took part in the project as well as raise funds for good causes here in Manchester. The nominated charities being supported are Rathbone and Dr. Kershaw’s Hospice; both of the charities are based in Oldham.

The year long project charted the oral accounts of first generation of Bangladeshis in the Manchester area and is one of the most significant pieces of work undertaken within the BME communities.
