This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individual’s to join the teams of Oldham Community Leisure Limited in the role of Leisure Attendant. Successful candidates should have exceptional customer care skills and an infectious enthusiasm to provide the best possible standards of service to the Oldham community. The Trust’s mission is “A Community More Active, More Often”, and the post of Leisure Attendant is a key role in achieving this.
The role of the Leisure Attendant is to undertake pool supervision, the safe erection and dismantling of sports equipment, dealing with customers, cash handling, reception duties, cleaning and housekeeping and general control of facilities and activities to a high level of customer satisfaction. You will oversee the general safety of the public and the facilities.
It is desirable that individuals should hold a current NARS or RLSS Pool Lifeguard qualification but is not essential as training can be provided. However, to achieve this qualification the ability to be able to swim will be required.
The role of Leisure Attendant will occasionally require flexibility to work across various units and the place of work may be varied from time to time. There are currently full and part time hours available at the following sites:
Chadderton Wellbeing Centre
Failsworth Sports Centre
Glodwick Pool and Fitness Centre
Oldham Sports Centre
Radclyffe Athletics Centre
Royton Pool and Fitness Centre
Saddleworth Pool and Fitness Centre
The hours of work will include regular evening and weekend work at times to reflect the requirements of the business.
The salary for the role is OCL Band 2, points 5 – 7 which equates to an annual salary of £13,263 rising incrementally to £15,537 for a 40 hour position. This is a consolidated rate of pay and covers all hours worked.
