A temporary Aquatic Team Leader is required to oversee swim lessons at
Failsworth Sports Centre and swim lessons and diving at Oldham Sports
Centre.

OCL are looking for an effective leader with an eye for detail and an ability to
motivate and get the best from their team. Applicants should have
exceptional customer care skills and an infectious enthusiasm to provide the
best possible standards of service to the Oldham Community. The Trust’s
mission is “A Community More Active, More Often”, and the post of Aquatic
Team Leader is a key role in achieving this.

The role of the Aquatic Team Leader is to oversee and ensure the effective
management and profitability of the ‘Learn to Swim’ scheme by providing
supervision of staff and resources and meeting customer and stakeholder
aspirations. The role of Aquatic Team Leader will require flexibility to work
across various units and the place of work may be varied from time to time.
Individuals should ideally have previous experience of line managing staff
within a leisure setting and ideally hold current swimming teacher and pool
lifeguard qualifications. These qualifications are a requirement of the post of
Aquatics Team Leader, as successful candidates may be required to provide
swimming teacher cover as and when required. Training will be provided if
necessary and confirmation of the appointment can only be granted during
the probationary period to those individuals who attain the above
qualifications.

Hours of work will include regular evening and weekend work at times to
reflect the requirements of the business. The contract is for up to 40 hours
per week, and you will be expected to vary your working pattern on occasion
to provide the necessary cover to meet the needs of the business and ensure
qualified lesson delivery at site.

The salary for the role is OCL Band 6, points 17-19 and equates to £18,457 for a 40hr per week and rises incrementally to £19,521 per annum. This is a consolidated rate of pay and covers all hours worked.
