This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individual’s to join the team at Oldham Community Leisure in the role of Modern Apprentice for a twelve month period.

Individuals will be supported to achieve a National Vocational Qualification at Level 2 or 3, relevant key skills and also undergo in-house training.  The training provided is likely to include Pool Lifeguard, First Aid at Work, Pool Plant Operations, Manual Handling and Health and Safety.

Duties may include pool supervision, the safe erection and dismantling of sports equipment, dealing with customers, cash handling, bookings and admissions, cleaning and housekeeping and general control of facilities and activities to a high level of customer satisfaction. You will oversee the general safety of the public and the facilities.  The areas of work will include the OCL pools, gyms, synthetic pitches, outdoor pursuits, reception, café and administration.

Due to the cooperative nature of the organisation there will be a large emphasis on team and partnership working and individuals may be required to work across all OCL sites.

There are currently various hours available across OCL sites and there is flexibility to work around individual’s commitments and hours which will be discussed at interview.  The role will include evening and weekend work.  The rate of pay for the role is £98.05 per week.  This is a consolidated rate of pay and covers all hours worked.
