    Pohela Boishakh 2011 Nôbobôrsho BANGLA NEW YEAR!

    It’s Bengali new year 2011 in Bangladesh followed tomorrow by new year in India, West Bengal and Assam.

    As always the Sylhet Times Digital wishes you all a peaceful, prosperous and generally fantastic Nôbobôrsho. (article with video )

    In Bangladesh it’s a public holiday with celebrations all day, like the famous Mongol Shovajatra laid on annually by students at the Institute of Fine Arts in Dhaka plus TV and newspapers running specials too.

    Celebrations will also be occurring in several cities in the UK including London and as seen here in Manchester.
