    Rushanara Ali Visit to Bangladesh

    rushanara in dhaka montageSylhet born Rushanara Ali, Labour’s Shadow Minister for International Development Affairs spoke in Dhaka on her recent trip to Bangladesh and thanked the english voters of Bangladeshi origin and particularly the Sylhetis for their support and inspiration. While she spoke of optimism for the future of Bangladesh economically, she also highlighted the impact of climate change on Bangladesh which is in the front-line in suffering the effects.
    During the trip Rushanara was also visted Sylhet and met with Sylhet City Corporation mayor Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran.
